First of all, sorry it’s been a while since I’ve posted. I’ve had a few health problems that have kept me pretty occupied. You know…God is good. I still have a little problem, probably my gallbladder, but it’s not my heart like we once thought. Again, God is good!
Today I spent just sitting around, stamping! I’m not suppose to be up and about so what better way to spend downtime than stamping!!!!
Here’s the first card that I made. I had a lot of fun with this card and didn’t use the traditional Christmas colors. Who says that Christmas is all about reds and greens? Besides it’s kind’ve more winter than Christmas. I can already tell that I’m going to love this set! Look out girls, we’ll probably use this set on our candles in stamp club.
What did I use?
Stamp Set – Big on Christmas
Jumbo Wheel – Christmas Chatter
Cardstock: Brocade Blue and white
Markers: Creamy Caramel, Perfect Plum, More Mustard, Garden Green, Ruby Red,Brocade Blue, Close to Cocoa and More Mustard.
Classic Stamp Pad – Basic Black
Accessories: Hemp Twine, 1/8 hole punch
This card has been all over the Split Coast Stampers gallery in different variations. We actually did a similar card to this one at my Open House. Ha! I think all or most demo’s did a simliar card to this. It’s super-dooper fast and easy. My favorite part about this card is the scalloped punch and how well it goes with the Baroque Motif’s stamp that was placed in the center of the scallop. The stamp actually has little dots all the way around it but I trimmed them off so that it would better flow with the scalloped punch. You’ll be seeing more cards in my blog and gallery using the scalloped punch.

I’ve been wanting to make a card with a bookmark, so I did! I used my new stampset Priceless. I love the way Groovy Guava looks with Basic Black. And… who would think to use Bashful Blue with Groovy Guava and Basic Black. Actually, the only reason I did it was to use up my scraps!!
